This is a solo run of the Assault on Dhúrstok as a 1-player instance with my L134 redline Hunter. I'm running the instance set to level 132.

The main reason for running it solo is to get the "on instance level" equipment drops that can occur from either of the two boss chests. There is also the possibility of a L131 random purple tracery dropping from the boss chests. This instance can be run solo daily with the instance set to either 1, 2 or 3 players as well as setting the 3-player version to Tiers 1-5 for instances at level 140.

The chests solo/1-man instance runs are locked to only open once per day (based on server time for solo/1-man instances). This can be checked in the raid locks section of the social panel or by typing "/raid locks" in the general chat command line. The Tier 1+ duo (2-player) instances are similar to raid chests given have 5 favourable drops per week before the boss chest drops down to a few more common chest rewards.

Equipment drops throughout Gundabad can be relatively difficult to obtain even after having run all the quests in many of the expansions lower level zones. Consequently it can be difficult to run level 138+ content when your gear has not progressed fast enough to effectively compete. Running these instances solo at levels low enough to remain competitive (as either 1 or 2 player instances) is a viable method to obtain "good enough" equipment to complete in L138+ questing zone content.

The equipment drops from this instance (when run as a 1-player at Tier 1 with instance level 133) can provide uncommon ilevel 453 equipment (Gages of Mozrúk's Ride). This is comparable to the uncommon quest arm-guard rewards available while questing Fate of Gundabad (ilevel 452-454).

You can also run this instance set to two or three players. The two player version still provides Múta as a sidekick/npc (via horn of summoning) and can usually be completed at a slightly lower level compared to the solo (1-player) version. The Tier 1 (and higher) chest rewards have 6 other possible equipment pieces (ie. different to the solo versions arm-guard item) as chest drops as well as other possible chest rewards. The three player version doesn't have Múta as a possible companion & would need to be completed without their assistance. The instances can also drop purple traceries and/or rune enhancements when they are 'favourable' boss chest drops.

That said, if you could run this instance at level 140 set as a 3-man instance on Tier 3 you should have the chance of dropping purple gear & the possibility of Teal Traceries. Tier 5 (at instance level 140) should have a chance of dropping Teal gear &/or Gold traceries.

If you are just looking to improve your gear to play the higher level quest content, you can try looking in the auction house for near on-level equipment. The auction house equipment (Bind on Equip) is likely to have an ilevel lower than the possible solo instance equipment (account bound equipment) that drops from this instance (but it *is* easier to find).

Crafted equipment is mostly for level 140 characters and is purple ilevel 458 gear. So the instance Level 133+ account bound gear (uncommon ilevel 453 gear or higher) is comparable but could eventually be replaced with the level 140 crafted gear (if you can craft it) for solo adventurers wanting to complete any remaining questing content.

Of course, getting solo crafting characters to the point where they can actually make the purple level 140 Gundabad equipment is difficult even at the best of times and should not be attempted by the feint hearted.
